More Catching Up To Do...

I don't expect much but to face my daily class routine. Nothing special (or is it?). But I still keep on posting, for catching up sake. Let me go back to my early weeks. I began my first class quite akwardly. Not only I need to adapt with the Peninsula people here, I also need to clarify my racial background to the people here - being an ethnical Sarawakian really sparks some interest here. With this, comes some confusion. Most of the people here think that I'm Chinese (if you're not Malay, then you're Chinese). And some say I'm Iban and even worse Kadazan (note: Kadazan is unique to Sabah, not Sarawak). Eventually this made gotten close with the Chinese peers here, consequently motivates me to learn Mandarin. In spite of these, the friendly and comforting environment had made me feel that I'm not out of place and no longer a stranger in a foreign land (sentiments are still there though) but this doesn't stop me to feel homesick.
