19 and counting

"Time to reflect on my past 18th year..."

How to have a perfect birthday? Why not having an exam? Lucky me to have an exam on my birthday. But it's an easy one - how hard Bahasa Malaysia can be? Wondering how I really spend my time on my birthday? Nothing is complete without a birthday bash. What I had last night is not exactly a birthday bash or even a surprise. It's rather a solemn affair to be frank. Partly because it is the exam season now. But I really appreciate my friends' effort come up with it. They even get me a present. Thanks my peeps! A big hug to you all. Now to the real highlight. I totally wasted myself out on an all-out dotA matches. Perfect to celebrate my birthday. Even though I got my ass kicked most of the time (my friends are demons in playing dotA or I was not careful enough to let myself getting killed). Having an exam the next morning did not stop us to play this game. After draining myself from a game like that, you can imagine my condition during the exam this morning. I finished up answering my paper as quick as I could and headed back straight to my room to continue on my much needed sleep. In fact I've just woke up now, having non-stop birthday messages from my close friends and families (felt groggy replying their messages). I wonder what is in store for me next.

Time to reflect on the past 18th year. I really enjoyed my 18th year. In fact, it was the year which I try on new stuffs and being more independent. In this year, I have managed to enroll myself to local university. Nothing special on that but stepping into university life is an eye-opener to me. My matriculation life was just the tip of the iceberg of university life. Now I really know what studying is all about. Pointless in my belief but important for me to get a better career. During this 18th year also I travel more frequently. My university is in Kelantan, a long length of the South China Sea away from my home of Miri. I also begin to travel without the companion of my usual boring family. Now I travel with friends. Last time I travel to Kuala Lumpur with my friend, Douglas and met up with Uzair. We stayed there for a week. At that time, I realized of my shopaholic nature. Meow! Then another trip to KL, this time a weekend reunion with my friends Vanessa, Riccie and Debra. That trip is another new experience for me, having a long haul bus ride and riding a train. And I still have my shopping mood with me. This 18th also leads me to more new friendships, some with their ups and downs. But I don't keep grudges. Just wrap up the old story and start anew in my ongoing 19th year. More fun and thrills hopefully.
